Operator Creative Guild Inc

This page consolidates everything related to how Creative Guild Inc communicates with you, how our affiliate and partner program works, and the disclosures required by the FTC for our advertising, testimonials, and results claims. It applies across all our brands — The Creative Guild, The Script Doctor, The Act 1 Lab, Skip Film School, Vibe Code — and works alongside our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and SMS Policy.

What's in here

Three parts. One page.

Part A · Communications

How we contact you by email and SMS, what you'll receive, and how to control it.

Part B · Affiliate Program

Terms for anyone who promotes our programs for a commission or referral fee.

Part C · FTC Disclosures

Results disclaimers, testimonial caveats, and sponsored-content disclosures.

A

Communications.

How we communicate with you across email and text, what to expect in your inbox, and how to change your mind at any time.

Section 01

How We Communicate With You

Creative Guild Inc and its brands communicate with users through three primary channels:

  • Email — newsletters, program announcements, transactional notices, and educational content
  • SMS / text messaging — booking confirmations, session reminders, and promotional offers (with separate opt-in)
  • In-app and on-platform notifications — for users active in a program or course

We do not call, robocall, or fax users for marketing purposes.

Section 02

Email Communications

How You Opt In

You opt in to email communications when you:

  • Subscribe to our newsletter or free resources
  • Register for a free or paid event, masterclass, or program
  • Purchase a product or service from us
  • Submit a contact form or inquiry

What You'll Receive

Transactional emails (always sent regardless of marketing preferences): purchase receipts, account notifications, session confirmations, program access details, password resets, customer service responses, and policy updates.

Marketing emails (only with your consent): newsletters, program announcements, promotional offers, event invitations, educational content, case studies, and updates from Creative Guild Inc and its brands.

Frequency

Marketing email frequency typically ranges from 2–8 emails per month, with higher volume during program launches or events. Transactional email frequency depends on your account activity.

How to Opt Out

Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link. You can also email [email protected] with the subject line "Email Unsubscribe" to opt out manually. We honor unsubscribes within 10 business days as required by CAN-SPAM.

Opting out of marketing emails does not opt you out of transactional emails — those are required for the products and services you've purchased.

Section 03

SMS & Text Messaging

Our SMS program is operated under The Script Doctor brand by Creative Guild Inc. SMS opt-in is express, separate from email opt-in, and never a condition of purchase.

The complete terms of our SMS program — including consent language, message content, frequency, STOP/HELP/START commands, message and data rates, and the FCC one-to-one consent privacy declaration — are on our dedicated SMS Policy page.

Quick Reference

  • Reply STOP to any text to opt out
  • Reply HELP to any text for customer support
  • Reply START to resubscribe after opting out
  • Message and data rates may apply

For full details, see thecreativeguild.org/sms-terms.

Section 04

Managing Your Preferences

You have several ways to manage what you hear from us and when:

  • Email: Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email, or email [email protected].
  • SMS: Reply STOP to any message.
  • All channels: Email [email protected] with the subject line "Communication Preferences" and tell us what you want to receive (or stop receiving).

We respect your preferences. Once you opt out, we will not send you marketing communications in that channel unless you re-subscribe.

B

Affiliate & Partner Program.

Terms for anyone who promotes our programs in exchange for a commission, referral fee, or other compensation. Read this before applying or sharing any affiliate link.

Section 05

Program Overview & Eligibility

Creative Guild Inc may operate an affiliate, referral, or partner program through which approved individuals or organizations earn commissions for promoting our programs and products. This section describes the terms that apply to anyone participating in such a program.

Eligibility

To participate as an affiliate or partner, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have an active website, social media presence, email list, or other legitimate promotional channel
  • Operate in good standing in your jurisdiction (no fraud history, no FTC consent decrees, etc.)
  • Submit an application and be approved by Creative Guild Inc in writing
  • Agree to these terms and to our Terms of Service

Approval Is Discretionary

We approve affiliates at our sole discretion. We may decline applications, terminate existing affiliates, or pause the program at any time without explanation. Past participation in a similar program with another company does not entitle you to participation in ours.

Independent Contractor Relationship

Affiliates are independent contractors, not employees, agents, partners, or joint venturers of Creative Guild Inc. You have no authority to make commitments on our behalf, enter into contracts in our name, or hold yourself out as our representative.

Section 06

Commissions, Tracking & Payment

Commission Structure

Commission rates, eligible products, cookie duration, and minimum payout thresholds are described in the affiliate program documentation provided to you upon approval. We reserve the right to modify commission rates and eligible products with reasonable notice; changes do not apply retroactively to commissions already earned.

Tracking

Commissions are tracked through the affiliate links and codes we provide. Sales attributed to you must originate from a tracked click or use of your assigned code. Commissions are credited only on completed, paid sales — not on refunded purchases, chargebacks, or fraudulent transactions.

Payment

Commissions are typically paid on a monthly basis for the prior month's qualifying sales, subject to a 30-day refund holdback period. Specific payout schedule, method, and minimum thresholds are described in the affiliate program documentation.

Disputes

You have 30 days from a payout to raise a dispute about commission calculations. After 30 days, payouts are considered final.

Section 07

Required Disclosures for Affiliates

If you are an affiliate or partner promoting Creative Guild Inc programs, the FTC requires that you clearly and conspicuously disclose your material connection to us anywhere you promote our products.

You must disclose that you earn a commission when you share affiliate links — in social media posts, on websites and blogs, in emails, in podcasts, and in video content. Hidden disclosures, disclosures buried in fine print, and disclosures that appear only after the click do not satisfy FTC requirements.

Examples of Compliant Disclosures

  • "#ad" or "#sponsored" at the start of social posts (not hidden in hashtag bunches)
  • "This is an affiliate link — if you sign up I earn a commission at no extra cost to you." at the start of a blog post, email, or video
  • "I'm a paid partner of Creative Guild Inc." in podcast episodes and video content

You Cannot

  • Imply or claim that you have no financial relationship with us when you do
  • Misrepresent your experience with our programs (claiming results you didn't achieve)
  • Make claims about our programs that we haven't substantiated (income claims, guaranteed outcomes)
  • Use deceptive review or testimonial practices

Failure to comply with FTC disclosure requirements may result in your termination from the program and forfeiture of unpaid commissions, in addition to any liability you incur under federal law.

Section 08

Prohibited Practices

Affiliates and partners may NOT engage in the following:

  • Spam — sending unsolicited emails, SMS, or messages promoting our programs without recipient consent
  • Bidding on our brand terms — paid search or social ads targeting "The Creative Guild," "The Script Doctor," "Jasmine Patrice White," or related trademark keywords without prior written approval
  • Cookie stuffing — dropping affiliate cookies without an affirmative user click on a tracked link
  • Self-purchases — using your own affiliate code or link for purchases on your own behalf, your family's, or your business's (unless explicitly permitted by program documentation)
  • Coupon site abuse — promoting discounts or codes we did not authorize
  • Misrepresentation — making income claims, guaranteed-results claims, or other unsubstantiated promises about our programs
  • Impersonation — holding yourself out as Creative Guild Inc, an employee, or an official representative
  • Use of our IP — using our logos, trademarks, copyrighted materials, or proprietary methods outside what we expressly authorize
  • Defamatory or harmful content — promoting our programs on sites containing hate speech, illegal content, adult content, or other content that would reflect poorly on our brand

Violation of any of these practices is grounds for immediate termination from the program, forfeiture of any unpaid commissions, and clawback of previously paid commissions tied to violating activity.

Section 09

Modification & Termination

We may modify the affiliate program — including commission rates, eligible products, tracking methods, payout terms, and required disclosures — at any time with reasonable notice. Material changes will be communicated by email to active affiliates.

Either party may terminate your participation in the program at any time, with or without cause, with written notice. Upon termination:

  • You must immediately remove all affiliate links and promotional materials
  • You must immediately cease using our trademarks, logos, and copyrighted materials
  • You remain entitled to commissions earned through the date of termination, subject to the standard refund holdback and any clawbacks for violations
  • The terms of this section, our intellectual-property restrictions, and any liability provisions survive termination
C

Advertising & Endorsement Disclosures.

The FTC requires honesty in advertising. This section spells out what our results claims mean, how testimonials work, and how we disclose sponsored or affiliate relationships.

Section 10

Results & Earnings Disclaimer

Individual results vary. We make no guarantee that you will achieve any specific outcome from using our programs, products, or services.

What This Means

The creative industries are competitive, and success is influenced by many factors outside our control — including but not limited to: your individual talent and skill, the quality and originality of your work, market conditions, industry contacts, persistence, time invested, financial resources, timing, and a measure of luck.

While we are committed to providing high-quality education, consulting, and mentorship, we make no representation, warranty, or guarantee that participation in any Creative Guild Inc program or use of any of our materials will result in:

  • Sold scripts, manuscripts, or other intellectual property
  • Representation by agents, managers, or attorneys
  • Industry employment, contracts, or career advancement
  • Festival selection, awards, publication, or critical acclaim
  • Financial gain, income, or specific earnings of any kind
  • Produced films, television, or other media

Statements About Our Own Results

When we describe our own results — for example, statistics about the Creative Guild's founding principals' funded work, fellowships, or industry credentials — we are describing the experience of specific individuals, not representing what you will achieve. Past performance of others is not a predictor of your results.

Statements About Our Students' or Clients' Results

When we share student or client outcomes (case studies, success stories, testimonials), we are describing the experience of specific individuals. Those outcomes were achieved by specific people in specific circumstances. Your results may be different — and most likely will be.

Investment, Not Insurance

Purchasing a program from us is an investment in your craft and your knowledge, not insurance against the realities of competitive creative industries. We do our best work; you do yours; the outcome is yours.

Section 11

Testimonials & Endorsements

We use testimonials, case studies, and endorsements on our websites, in our marketing emails, on social media, and elsewhere. We do so in accordance with the FTC's Endorsement Guides.

Honest Opinions

All testimonials reflect the honest opinion of the person who provided them at the time it was provided. We do not pay students or clients for testimonials, though we may offer non-monetary incentives such as program discounts, complimentary access to future programs, or featured placement on our site.

Material Connections Are Disclosed

Where a testimonial comes from someone who has a material connection to Creative Guild Inc — for example, a staff member, contractor, business partner, or someone who received a free or discounted version of the program in exchange for their testimonial — that relationship will be clearly and conspicuously disclosed near the testimonial.

Not Typical Results

Testimonials and case studies represent individual experiences, not typical results. Many of our students and clients do not achieve the specific outcomes described in any individual testimonial. If you read or watch a testimonial describing significant outcomes (industry sales, representation, awards, financial gain), do not assume those outcomes are average or guaranteed.

Editing for Brevity

We may edit testimonials for grammar, length, or clarity. We do not edit them in a way that changes the meaning or misrepresents the speaker's experience.

Section 12

Affiliate & Sponsored Content

When We're the Affiliate

Some links on our websites, in our emails, and in our content are affiliate links to third-party products or services. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. We only recommend products and services we believe in, but you should always do your own research before purchasing.

When Someone Else Is Promoting Us

If you encounter content promoting Creative Guild Inc programs from a third party — a blogger, podcaster, social media creator, or partner — that person may be participating in our affiliate program (see Part B above). FTC rules require them to disclose that relationship; if they do not, they are in violation of our affiliate terms and you may report them to [email protected].

Sponsored Content

When we publish or distribute content that is paid for or sponsored by a third party (whether on our site, in our newsletter, or on our social channels), we will clearly label it as sponsored, paid, or in partnership with that party. We do not accept sponsorship for editorial coverage that we hold out as independent.

Section 13

Honesty in Marketing

We commit to the following standards in everything we publish:

  • No income guarantees. We will not promise specific earnings, payouts, or financial outcomes from our programs.
  • No false scarcity. If we say a program is "almost full" or "closing tonight," it actually is. We may use limited-time pricing and cohort caps, but we don't fake them.
  • No fake testimonials. Every testimonial we publish is from a real person who actually consented to it.
  • No fake reviews. We do not solicit, post, or pay for fake online reviews, and we do not suppress or hide legitimate negative reviews.
  • No bait and switch. What you see on a sales page is what you get when you purchase.
  • Substantiated claims. Any factual claim we make about our programs, our results, or industry data is supported by evidence we can produce on request.

If you believe we have fallen short of any of these commitments, please tell us at [email protected]. We take this seriously.
